Frequently asked questions

How do I import a GPX file?

From the main screen, tap the import button. You can select a GPX file from your files, iCloud, or any other source. Files shared from other apps (Strava, Komoot, OpenRunner) are also supported.

How do I add a milestone to my route?

Open your route and display the elevation profile. Tap the chart where you want to place a milestone. A window appears to customize the type and voice message.

Does voice guidance work in the background?

Yes. Once guidance is started, you can lock your phone and put it away. Voice announcements trigger automatically when you reach a milestone, even if the screen is off.

Does the app work without an internet connection?

Yes. Once your route is imported, no connection is needed. GPS guidance and voice announcements work entirely offline.

Why isn't GPS working?

Check that you've allowed location access in Settings > Privacy > Location Services > PaceMark. For background guidance, select "Always".

Announcements interrupt my music, how do I fix this?

Voice announcements are designed to temporarily lower your music volume and then restore it. If the behavior doesn't suit you, check your phone's audio settings.
